India's Biggest Rock Concert To Feature SYSTEM OF A DOWN, KORN, SLIPKNOT Cover Bands

"Pune Woodstock 2003 is here and will have some of the biggest names in Indian rock playing," Preeti writes. "Taking place on August 30 at Pyramids Lawns, Koregaon Park, Pune Woodstock 2003 will have Mumbai bands PIN DROP VIOLENCE (PDV),SPLIT, SLEDGEHAMMER and CHAOS THEORY and Delhi's numero uno rock band, VISHNU. Pune Woodstock 2002 saw big names in Indian rock like STRANGE BREW, MULTIPLE PERSONALITY DISORDER, SCEPTRE and METAKIX.
"The bands this year will take rockers on a journey that will include all genres of rock music. I-Rock 2001 winners, PDV is a five man band that covers heavy metal act SYSTEM OF A DOWN and KORN. SPLIT performs covers of alternative and grunge bands like RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE and CREED. SLEDGEHAMMER, a classic rock band has influences ranging from PINK FLOYD to DEEP PURPLE. A headbanger's delight, CHAOS THEORY are a 'loud' band that dopes covers SLIPKNOT, SEPULTURA and COAL CHAMBER. VISHNU, a relatively young band have taken part in competitions like the Great Indian Rock Festival. This versatile band covers bands like JUDAS PRIEST, IRON MAIDEN, METALLICA, MEGADETH and Pune Woodstock 2003 will be their first performance in the city." Read more.
